PERCENTS PERCENTS

Today in class we put away Method 1 which is pictured below.






















New today is the formula to help us solve percent problems.

















Use the next example to help you complete the homework.























Tonights homework is to re-do the board problems from last night using Method 2.

BOARD PROBLEMS

25% of a number is 30, find the number.
20% of a number is 36.4, find the number.
10% of a number is 5, find the number.
65% of a number is 156, find the number.
85% of a number is 97.75, find the number.
60% of a number is 37.8, find the number.
45% of a number is 94.5, find the number.
30% of a number is 54, find the number.
5% of a number is 2.28, find the number.
75% of a number is 40.56, find the number.

Also complete Page 392 3-10.
