MORE ORDER OF OPERATIONS & COLORING

Students are finalizing their review of the Order of Operations with an IXL assignment 6.O.3 and then completing the leaf coloring sheet for an assessment score.

ORDER OF OPERATIONS - REVIEWING THE CONCEPT

Students were polled at the beginning of class. We then went over the diagram below to discuss the real method. We discussed the misconceptions and the new symbols that help us multiply.

We practice the following problems together, some of the examples are shown.

EXPONENT ASSESSMENT

We used this worksheet to count as our final assessment over exponents before jumping in to the Order of Operations.

EXPONENT PRACTICE

These sheets were used for practice. Student practiced answering questions related to repeat multiplication and finding the value of the given problems written in exponential form.

After we finished reviewing exponents, students worked on IXL 6.D.2 and then did a quick assessment using PRODIGY
