| I polled the class to get their answers before we discussed the Order of Operations. I knew many of them would have briefly forgotten the rules or gotten some of them mixed up. The majority of the answers were 4 and 11. |

| It doesn't matter what you use to remember the rules as long as you remember that Multiplication and Division get done from left to right and then Addition and Subtraction are done left to right. |
