JUST CURIOUS

We are about to start solving algebraic equations. So to lead us into the second half of our unit I presented everyone with these problems.

























Students were told to explain how they found the value of the variable. For example on #1 the statement "3+29=32" is not an explanation. I am looking for something like, I subtracted 32 and 29 to get 3.

I am hoping this will lead us into a discussion about inverse operations. Fingers Crossed!
