MULTIPLYING WHOLE NUMBERS

Don't get confused we are going to continue working with decimals but before we can move on I need to make sure we can add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. Today in class we are going to be multiplying multi-digit numbers by a single digit and then move on to multiply multi-digit numbers by multi-digit numbers.

  3. The decimal expansion of a rational number always either terminates after a finite number of digits or begins to repeat the same finite sequence of digits over and over. Moreover, any repeating or terminating decimal represents a rational number.
