Algebra is all about BALANCE. So when I think about BALANCE I think about this..........



So technically a teeter totter isn't the greatest example but it is good because it proves that if the weight/value on one side is not the same as the weight/value on the other side then the teeter totter will not sit balanced, thus its appeal. In math however we do want balance at all times.
