METHODS FOR MULTIPLYING MULTI-DIGITS

 As we transition to multiplying decimals I still have some friends struggling with multi-digit multiplication. Today in class I worked with a handful of students in each class to come up with a method that works for them. Below you can see 3 videos demonstrating different methods that all work.

WEEK OF AUGUST 22 HOMEWORK

I am experimenting with this concept. I know it is a few more problems for a week than I would typically give. However I do like making my students work at being more responsible. So we will see how this works. 

The problems in grey are ones that are currently being studied. All others are review from elementary school. 

My only rule is that an attempt is made to do all problems.

I am very exciting about this school year and I am glad to be back, finally getting used to the schedule. 

Because of some technical difficulties I did not post at all last week. I will update those posts ASAP. This information will be in 1 large post so we do not confuse it with current lessons and activities.
