3/24/2015 HOMEWORK


























  • I instructed students to put money first when they are writing their rate. 
  • When turning the rate into a unit rate you will always divide your numerator (first number in the rate) by the denominator (second number in the rate).
  • Students are aware that a unit rate will always be representing a quantity per 1.
  • Labels are very important

After the video everyone shared the notes they had taken. Below is the list I compiled.





In class we practiced determining if a ratio was a rate or a unit rate using right arm/left arm to share our answers. The following questions were used for practice.

A couple examples from the powerpoint. *Remember to change all mixed numbers to improper fractions *You can use the shortcut if you like *You must simplify all answers
